What you will have by Monday.

  1. 1

A short list of AI tools worth learning. And permission to ignore the rest.

  2. 2

Your first automation. Built on one rule anyone can follow: if this, then that.

  3. 3

A week planned with AI. So the small stuff is handled before you sit down.

  4. 4

A way to make it stick. Teach one thing you learned and it is yours.

01 The idea

Hard work used to be the edge. Now it is the entry fee.

For most of your career, the person who put in the most hours won. That deal is over. AI did not make hard work worthless. It made hard work common.

The people pulling ahead are not grinding longer. They hand the draining parts of the day to AI and spend their own hours on the work that moves them forward. This book shows you how, one step at a time.

02 Inside the book

Five steps. One afternoon.

The book is built on the S.M.A.R.T. Framework. Five steps, taught in order, each one small enough to start the day you read it.

  1. S

    Start with effort

Your work ethic is the foundation. AI goes on top of it, not in place of it.

  2. M

    Master the tools

The few AI tools you need, chosen by task and not by trend.

  3. A

    Automate what drains you

Find the small tasks that leak your energy every week and hand those over first.

  4. R

    Rewire your workflow

Plan your week with AI, so you move faster and think clearer.

  5. T

    Teach to own

Explain what you learn. It locks in the skill and builds your name while you do it.

Then three chapters on staying ahead: getting ready for what is next, protecting your edge from hype and shiny objects, and becoming the person at work who is known for knowing this.

03 Read a page

The first thing he ever handed over.

An excerpt from the opening chapters, word for word.

But it wasn't always like this. With every major change, there's usually one moment when everything finally makes sense. For me, that moment happened while I was looking at my daily routine, trying to identify tasks to automate. Surprisingly, my first breakthrough was something small: handwritten birthday cards.

Every day, the system checked for birthdays two weeks ahead. When someone's birthday was approaching, it pulled their details from a database I had built. ChatGPT wrote a personal note, picked a card that matched their style, and sent the information to a service that actually handwrote the message in real ink. After a quick email review, the card was mailed automatically.

That simple automation relieved the stress of forgetting birthdays. It also completely changed how I viewed AI. If I could automate birthday cards, what else could I automate?

Automating birthday cards wasn't what I expected to change my mindset. But breakthroughs often come unexpectedly. They don't just solve a problem; they change your perspective.

04 Why I wrote it

I was twelve years old, buying my own shoes. Outworking people was the only advantage I ever had.

We were not tight on money. We were broke. My mom worked three jobs, and I went to work at twelve so I would have something on my feet that did not embarrass me at school.

That is where the work ethic came from, and for years it carried me. Then I reached the top of my field and looked around. Everybody in the room worked just as hard as I did. The edge did not shrink. It disappeared.

I did not replace the work ethic. I put AI on top of it.

Think of it as staff, not software.

Extra sets of hands for the work that never needed you in the first place.

05 What that looks like

Eight jobs his AI staff did this month.

These are real roles from the desk that runs Tristen's business. Together they have finished more than 400 tasks since August.

06 The real skill

Knowing what to hand over. And what to keep.

A postscript on those birthday cards. They worked. People loved getting them. They just stopped feeling like me, so I shut the system off. Some things should not be handed over, and knowing which ones is the actual skill.

07 Who it is for

Written for busy people, not for engineers.

  1. 1You keep hearing about AI at work and nobody has explained it plainly.
  2. 2You feel a step behind, whether you manage a team, run a small business or are between jobs.
  3. 3You want a plan you can start this week, not another prediction.

It is not for you if you already build your own automations or want a technical manual. This is the starting line, on purpose.

08 Proof

What people say when he explains it.

Tristen explains AI in a way that actually makes sense and feels relevant to everyday work and life, not just tech experts.

10 Questions

Fair things to ask.

What does it cost?

$11.95 for the paperback and $9.99 for Kindle. Kindle Unlimited members can read it free. Amazon sets the final price, so check the listing.

Do I need to be technical?

No. There is no coding in the book. If you can write an email, you can follow it.

How long will it take me?

It is 127 pages. Most people can read it in an afternoon, and each of the five steps can be started the same day.

Will the tools in it go out of date?

Tools change every month. The book teaches a method for deciding what to hand over, and that part does not expire.

Is AI going to take my job?

People asked the same about calculators and computers. It is giving an advantage to the people who learn it, and your judgment and relationships get more valuable, not less.

What if it is not for me?
